If you have ever read the Song of Solomon book in the Bible you have seen this concept. Despite your religious belief, taking this approach to life is essential for Positive Thinking. Verse 2:15 suggests that we "catch" the small foxes because they are spoiling the vines with "tender grapes". At the time this was written the meaning was clear but, for today, we need some clarification. The metaphor is simple. The vines represent growth and progress, fruitfulness and blessing, the little foxes represent that small things that eat away at those positive things. We tend to ignore the "little foxes" because we are focusing on bigger problems ("big foxes") and they slowly eat away at the roots of our happiness. We are encouraged to beware the little foxes because they quickly add up with great impact. Here's an everyday example: let's say you received some great news at work and you are super excited to go home and tell your family. The traffic on the drive home is congested and several drivers have cut you off such that you have had a few near accidents. You now have a choice. Do you allow the events of your drive home to ruin your excitement? Are you now so frustrated with near accidents that when you get home your family hears about that rather than your great news? Those are little foxes. Beware of them or , as King Solomon says, catch them. Think positive. Think Legacy.
